Pretty Punk'n Aggressive Styled Shoot by Tracie Jean Photo Studios Voted Cincinnati's Best Portrait Photographer
Getting together with other artists, be they models, hair and makeup, photographers, designers, stylists, painters, sculptors is one of my most favorite things to do! It is so amazing to see how the stories develop and how the session unfolds. This session in particular made it so clear to me as an artist how very important to the final images that the story actually is. This session actually changed the way I work on my imagery. There is always a story. The story is the most important thing. Everyone loves a good story :) If you like to pretend, and I do love to pretend, this one thing may be the game-changer for your workflow.
In this shoot, we decided these girls had a punk feel. They were jaded and a bit aggressive as they were overcoming disappointment and heartache and were extremely dedicated to protecting each other and themselves. However, within their "pack" , there was perfect trust, loyalty and fun!
Meet my pack of amazing models, our pretty girls, our punky girls, our aggressive girls! They are amazing, each in their own right!
If you're wondering about lighting, we had use of the Profoto B-1x Location Kit, B-2 Location Kit and A1s with a HUGE thank you to @tonypollard for always knowing how to follow my crazy ideas with regard to lighting!
Our camera choice was our favorite as always, the Olympus EM-1 Markii with various lenses (7-14mm Pro f/2.8, 45mm Pro f/1.2, 25mm Pro f/1.2, 75mm f1.8, 12-40mm Pro f/2.8).
