TWO FULL DAYS OF PHOTO & LIGHTING EDU
Day 1
Saturday May 22nd 2021
A full day in studio at Tracie Jean Photo Studios in OTR. A deep dive into lighting with Profoto Legend of Light and Olympus Visionary, Tracie Maglosky. This hand's on workshop will leave you immersed in a world of light! We will have models at this workshop to practice our skills.
9am- Arrival
9am-12pm - Instructional & Hands on shooting
12-1pm - Lunch and Learn (we will order lunch in and shoot while we nibble)
1pm-5pm - Instructional & Hands on shooting
**Learn how to balance natural light with strobe(s), choosing the best modifier, direction of light and ratios.
Day 2
Sunday May 23rd 2021
Come to another world at the opulent Pinecroft Manor! You'll be swept away to an enchanted castle with stone floors, mahogany walls and a sweeping staircase...each room it's own delight. The 18 acres of pristine gardens and rows of orchards will make this styled shoot otherworldly!
9am- Arrival
9am-12pm - Use the soft morning light to create gorgeous images outside in the gardens and the rows of fruit trees with our stunning models.
12-1pm - Lunch
1pm-5pm - Visit each room with it's own model and setup to create the images you long to make.
**There will be instructors on location to assist with any questions and complimentary loaner gear will be available.
Hosts:
Tony Pollard, lighting and video expert for a journey into intelligent lighting. Tony Pollard has 20 years of experience creating sets, perfecting lighting and building video content. Whether you are a little lost on lighting or a seasoned professional you will walk away with amazing hands on knowledge of how to create mood and shape with light. In this section, you will also learn how to communicate with your assistant to create gorgeous imagery by learning helpful verbiage and light patterns.
Tracie Maglosky, the owner of Tracie Jean Photo Studios. Tracie is an Olympus Visionary, Profoto Legend of Light, Miller’s Speaker team, Hoodman Ambassador and Fotodiox Ambassador. She has been featured in numerous photography magazines including Rangefinder, Shutterbug, Click & Professional Photographer to name a few. Tracie travels the world teaching portrait workshops and inspiring photographers to new heights in their endeavors. She was listed as one of the top 30 most inspiring female photographers and is highly awarded for her edgy imagery. Get mastery level posing and composition techniques as we bring the entire day together to create jaw-dropping concept images that tell a story and evoke emotion.
This will be an immersive, hand's on experience. We will have all Profoto lighting and modifiers along with proprietary triggers for each brand (where available and where not available we will have alternative non-proprietary triggers for use). There will be loaner cameras and lenses available from Olympus as well.
