1. What is the best time to schedule a newborn photography session?

The ideal time to schedule your newborn photography session is within the first 5-10 days after birth. During this period, newborns are generally sleepier, easier to pose, and retain that adorable, curled-up position. As a Cincinnati newborn photographer, we recommend booking your session in advance, preferably during your second or third trimester, to secure your spot.

2. Where do newborn photography sessions take place?

All of our newborn photography sessions are done in my cozy Cincinnati studio, which is fully equipped with everything needed for a safe and comfortable experience. We ensure that every session is customized to your unique needs.

3. How long does a newborn photography session last?

A typical Cincinnati newborn photography session lasts between 1-3 hours depending on which package is chosen.

4. What should we bring to a newborn photography session?

We provide all necessary props, blankets, and outfits for the session. However, feel free to bring any sentimental items you'd like to include, such as a special blanket or family heirloom. You’re also welcome to bring extra diapers, wipes, and a pacifier for your newborn's comfort during the session...although we have plenty of diapers & wipes in studio. For parents, comfortable clothes and a backup outfit are a good idea for any unexpected spills.

5. Is it safe to pose newborns during photography sessions?

Yes, safety is always our top priority during all newborn photography sessions. We are trained and experienced Cincinnati newborn photographers who follow all industry safety standards. We ensure that all poses are comfortable for your baby and avoid any positions that may cause discomfort or harm. We always have a spotter or parent close by during the session.

6. Can parents and siblings be included in the newborn photos?

Including family members, such as parents and siblings, in your Cincinnati newborn photography session is a wonderful way to capture special family moments. We offer packages that include parents & siblings & packages that are for baby only.

7. What should we wear for a newborn photography session?

For parents and siblings, I recommend neutral, soft colors such as creams, whites, or pastels to keep the focus on your newborn. Avoid busy patterns and bold colors that can distract from the baby. If you're unsure, I’m happy to offer wardrobe suggestions that align with the overall style of your newborn photography session. We also offer a full client closet of gowns for mom.

8. How soon will we receive our newborn photos?

The full gallery of high-resolution, professionally edited photos will be delivered within 2 to 3 weeks. We take pride in providing families with beautiful, timeless newborn photography that captures the essence of their little one. With that in mind, all of our delivered files are always hand-edited in house.
