We will start the day with hair and makeup guidance from the amazing Sali Kamara of Makeup by SaliK. SaliK is a world renowned makeup artist having been published in such magazines as Rangefinder, Shutterbug and Click Magazine. She has appeared on Netflix, and worked with many major celebrities and musicians. Her corporate work includes Olympus, Profoto, Tether Tools & Amazon. Her creative approach to the art of makeup is inspiring and innovative and will leave you breathless. She will teach us, what to look for and how to communicate what you need from your makeup artist on set.
Next, we will journey through styling with Bre'Anda Fischer of Pistil Vintage. Bre'Anda's passion for styling is contagious and deliciously cutting edge. Bre'Anda is widely respected and celebrated in the Cincinnati area as a vintage sustainable clothing boutique and art gallery owner in OTR where she curates looks and art for clients and photographers full-time. Bre'Anda's work has been featured by Olympus, Professional Photographers of America and Northside Magazine. Bre'Anda will teach us tasteful pairing of complete looks by using both new and used articles to balance the look so that the viewer is taken into the image rather than confused by the inclusions of the styling.
After styling, join with Tony Pollard, lighting and video expert for a journey into intelligent lighting. Tony Pollard has 20 years of experience creating sets, perfecting lighting and building video content. Whether you are a little lost on lighting or a seasoned professional you will walk away with amazing hands on knowledge of how to create mood and shape with light. In this section, you will also learn how to communicate with your assistant to create gorgeous imagery by learning helpful verbiage and light patterns.
Finally, find your way into the shooting bay with Tracie Maglosky, the owner of Tracie Jean Photo Studios. Tracie is an Olympus Visionary, Profoto Legend of Light and MagMod Ambassador. She has been featured in numerous photography magazines including Rangefinder, Shutterbug, Click & Professional Photographer to name a few. Tracie travels the world teaching portrait workshops and inspiring photographers to new heights in their endeavors. She was listed as one of the top 30 most inspiring female photographers and is highly awarded for her edgy imagery. Get mastery level posing and composition techniques as we bring the entire day together to create jaw-dropping concept images that tell a story and evoke emotion.
This will be an immersive, hand's on experience. We will have all Profoto lighting and modifiers along with proprietary triggers for each brand (where available and where not available we will have alternative non-proprietary triggers for use). There will be loaner cameras and lenses available from Olympus as well.

We will take a lunch break and stay in the studio. We will order food in from the restaurants of Findlay Market (plenty of options there for varying tastes). Please bring cash for lunch as that will make the process much smoother. Feel free to bring lunch with you if you have dietary restrictions or would rather not order out.
