One Sweet Peach First Birthday Cake Smash to Splash Session by Cincinnati Cake Smash Photographer Tracie Jean Photo Studios

When we’re planning cake smash sessions we put so much energy into them! Cincinnati, Kentucky & Indiana area Moms & Dads reach out to us for ideas to celebrate baby’s first birthday and we go to work creating a concept around things like baby’s favorite food, character, activity, video, or kid’s show or movie.

The studio provides everything for these sessions with the exception of the cake. This means we create the set, balloon arches (where they make sense to the set, the baby’s outfit, all the props & either flowers, fruit or bubble for the splash session. We love creating all the elements of the session!

Most cake smash sessions have three 1/2 hour sections. We start with milestone pictures of baby without the cake this allows for some portraits with a clean face & hands. The second half an hour is the cake smash…that is when things get messy! Next, we move into the final 1/2 hour of the splash session. Most babies LOVE this part! We have many different bathtub and wash basin options for both boys & girls.

Look at our darling Iris! Mom & Dad came to see us for their Maternity session & we have spent the year together creating the story of Iris’ first year. It has been such an incredible joy to watch her grow into this sweet little personality!
